2006 Hagafen Cellars Prix Reserve Estate Bottled Napa Valley Pinot Noir: On the nose, this intense, extracted Pinot Noir shows ripe strawberry and cranberry, followed by roasted coffee, smoky black licorice and fresh, loamy earth. This full-bodied wine has a strawberry jam, black cherry, and boysenberry that finishes with notes of roasted coffee and toasty cocoa
2003 Xtant Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: The 2003 Xtant (a 1,400-case blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Malbec and 10% Merlot) offers complex aromas of cedar, earth, chocolate, espresso roast, cassis, and blackberries. Even though it is from St. Helena, there is a Rutherford dust component to its aromatics. The wine possesses sweet tannins,full body, rich, concentrated fruit and a long finish. It should drink well for a decade or more. Robert Parker rates it a 92!
2004 Kelleher Family Vineyards “Brix” Cabernet Sauvignon: This wine has a deep red color with aromas of dark cherry, black currants, well integrated oak and spice. These seductive aromas are apparent on the palate, most notably the concentrated cherry flavors. The wine is medium bodied with good structure and has a rich middle palate that leads to a smooth lingering finish.
2002 Araujo Eisele Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley: This wine is a perfect representation of the elite Eisele Vineyard. The 2002 growing season began with warm, dry conditions that developed a light crop of small-berried fruit. The last cabernet was picked during cool nights towards the end of September after a period of high record-breaking temperatures. This highly complex and exceptionally dense wine offers rich flavors on the palate and exudes opulent aromas. This is a noble wine that displays its great pedigree.
